What is Web 2.0?
• Web 1.0: Static pages (html pages) that has nothing to do with databases. They may include static flash animations (the ones that don’t get any information from databases), animated gifs …
• Web 2.0: It’s a huge concept but as an abstract, they are dynamic pages (asp or php pages). Most of them (99%) get information from databases. These allow:
a) Users can share information easily (with no knowledge about html) through forums, blogs…
b) Users can access their private area and decide what content they want to publish.
c) You can build a web site based on components, just copying and pasting a code, like videos, weather icons or content from another site.
d) Site can send alerts (pings out) to let other sites know that its content has changed.
